    Soul to almighty God, our lady St. Mary and the holy company of heaven, and burial in the church yard of St. Nicholas the bishop in Barton in the Cleye. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 3s. 4d.. To the highways in Barton 20 cart loads of flint stones. To eldest son James Wodward a cow, a coffer, 2 pewter dishes, 2 bushel of wheat, 2 bushel of barley, and 2 pewter platters. To son Robert Wodward a pot, a pan of brass, a bed to lie in, a coffer, five silver spoons and a cow. Son Thomas to pay to his brother Robert (testator's third son) £4 within the next 5 years. To son Thomas Wodward a cow, the best coverlet, the table in the hall with all the chief standards of the house that once belonged to testator's father and mother, and to him also a mazer after the death of testator's wife Agnes. To son Thomas' daughter Alys a coffer, 3 pewter dishes, a chafer and a harness girdle after the death of her grandmother. To Agnes Goldsmyth a pair of sheets and a platter. Son Thomas Wodward to have all testator's freehold lands and tenements both freehold and copyhold in the parishes of Barton, Stretley and Heigham Gubyon, according to the bargain and sale made to the said Thomas, under the condition that the said Thomas shall plough and till the free land for his mother, and carry it home in harvest, according to his promise, as he did for his father, the testator, during his life time, and his mother is to find the seed. To Thomas also 6 silver spoons. Residue to wife Agnes and son Thomas, his executors, to use for the health of souls of testator and all Christians. Witnesses sir Richard Lawnder curate there, Thomas Goldsmyth, Robert Child, Richard Huckell, Thomas Prior senior, Robert Gybson. To son William 2 pewter plates.
