    Soul to God, our lady St. Mary and all the company of heaven, and burial in the churchyard of Willyshamsted. For his mortuary according to the king's acts. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar a quarter of barley. To each of his children 20s. to be paid "as they grewe in age". To son Richard Dere all testator's horses, carts and cart gear, plough and plough gear and the crop in the field. To wife Alys 3 kine and 2 yearlings, and she is to have every year an acre of barley and an acre of pease, and meat and drink with son Richard, as long as they can agree. If they cannot agree, then wife to have a house called Pelles during her life time. Wife to have all testator's household stuff, to do as she wills with it. Residue to wife Alys and son Richard, executors, "they for to do for me in lyke case they would be done for". Witnesses sir Thomas Harwar vicar, John Camell.
