  • Scope and Content
    Burial in St. Mary's churchyard of Pottisgrove. To son William all his land within the parish of Pottisgrove, and a house with all his goods and chattels moveable and immoveable, and son William to be executor. He is also to receive all the debts owing to the testator. The debtors are: a) Edward Bowstred of Dunstable owes for 40 quarters of barley which he had of testator "the wynter aftur the Scotysfild" to make malt, priced per quarter 6s., and Edward Bowstred "Fled the cuntre for a season". b) Robert Turner of Dunstable owes 26s. 8d. which he borrowed to redeem his cattle which William Laytham of Badlysden "dydde strayne", and Robert also owes testator 12s. for a red brindled steer of 3 years of age. c) Richard Cowper of Chalton owes 40s. "saveing that the said Richard payd me 2 yeares 13s. 4d.." d) William Draper of Tebworth owes 2s. 11d. for the hire of a cow. William is to receive debts "he to disspose for my soull helth".
