    "Furst I bequeth my soull to Almeghtie God and to our blessed lady And all the compeny of heven". Burial in churchyard of Studham. To high altar there 8d.. To son Richard 5 marks; to daughter Elene 5 marks; to son John 5 marks; all these to be paid to the children at age of 12 at the discretion of the overseers of the will. The bequest to any child dying under that age to go to siblings. 10s. to be distributed at his burial among the parishioners. 8s. to be spent at his month's mind, but 3s. 4d. to be reserved from these monies to be distributed on Good Fryday in bread among poor people of the parish. To his sister Jone 10s.. Residue to wife Jone sole executrix, and if she remarry, then she is to find sureties on her marriage day for the children's bequests to the overseers of the will, who are Edward Leper, Henry Adowne and William Sory, who are each to have 2s.. Witnesses sir Roger Clarke, vicar, Edward Leper, Henry Downe, William Sory, Henry Rowsye, sir Roger Clarke vicar of Studham [presumably the writer].
