    "Furst I bequeth my soull to Allmeghtie God and my body to be bered in Cristian beryall". To the high altar 8d.; to the poor folk in Northyevell 3s. 4d.; to the poor folk of Malden 3s. 4d.; to the poor folk of Willyshamsted 3s. 4d.; to the poor folk of Cardington 3s. 4d.. To the highways at Northyevell 3s. 4d.. To Alys Hiche his daughter and her heirs his tenement in Willyshamsted with the lands, crofts and meadows and pastures, paying to his daughter Agnes Milward £15. "Yff so be that it may stand by the lawe or that John Hiche and William Mylward my sonnes in lawe shall thingke it a more godly way" then testator wishes that John Hiche should hire a priest to sing for testator and his wife, his father and mother, and Asten his son for 3 years immediately after testator's death, as was provided for in testator's last will dated 1534, his wages and "place to sing in apoynted by John Hiche and William Milward". If they do hire a priest then John Hiche is to give to testator's daughter Agnes only £5, otherwise to pay her the whole £15. To daughter Agnes 3 ½ acres of land lying in the fields of Estcotes once the gift and feoffment of testator's father, and the free rent assigned by testator's father, and the property to Agnes and her heirs provided the free rent is paid. To Agnes also a further 4 acres and half a rood lying in the field of Estcotes. All the household and other things in testator's Chamber at Wilshamsted to be divided equally between Alys and Agnes. John Hiche and William Milward are to give to every unmarried child on the day of their marriage 5s. of testator's gift which had been made earlier. A penny dole to be given out of the day of testator's burial. Residue to be expended by two daughters and their husbands who are all to be executors. Witnesses sir W. Tateham priest, W. Flecher alias Coake, Nicholas Flecher alias Coke.
