    "Furst I bequeth my soull immortall unto the great and infynyte mercy of God the Father Allmeghtie and my body mortall to the grownd to be buried in the Churche yerd of Sanct Marys in Bedford". To the mother church of Lincoln 2d. To wife Jone all moveable goods and testator's house in which Thomas Wyndover lives, for the term of her life, which is then to go to the child she carries, and then to the child's heirs, in default to John Baylie and his wife and their heirs, provided that John Baylie fund an obit in St. Paules church in Bedford costing 6s. 8d. to pray for the souls of testator and of the previous owners of the house, and he charges the house after his own death with a yearly sum of 3s. 4d. "yff it may so be by godes lawes and the King's graces" of which money 12d. is to go to St. Mary's church, 12d. to the bridge in Bedford and 12d. to the poor bedesmen of Bedford, the Bedysmen to be paid quarterly [sic]. Wife Jone and John Bayly executors, with John Byrde overseer. Witnesses John Rosell priest, Nicholas Cowper and John Bayly.
