    Copy Marriage Settlement Parties: (i) Edmund Williamson of Millbrook, clerk; (ii) Diana Taylor of Aspley Guise, widow of Simon Taylor of Woburn, gentleman, deceased; Catherine Taylor of Aspley Guise, daughter of Simon and Diana Taylor; (iii) Thomas Day of Well Close Square, St.George's [Middlesex], esquire; Talbot Williamson of Husborne Crawley, esquire; (iv) George Sherwood of New Inn [Middlesex], gentleman; (v) Catherine Gregory of Aspley Guise, spinster Reciting: - intended marriage of (i) and (v) Operative Part: - (ii), with consent of (i), granted (a)-(g) to (iii) Property: (a) messuage in Woburn formerly in occupation of John Mosely, now William Whittingstall known by sign of Red Lion fronting George Street on London Road, west; (b) close of pasture or meadow of half an acre adjoining (a) and between (a) and land of Duke of Bedford N and Thomas Stannyford S; (c) void piece of ground called a gutter in Woburn between (a) and messuage of William Ashby; (d) messuage formerly known by name of the Stubbs; (e) nine closes of arable, pasture or meadow in Cardington and Wilshamstead called Home Close, Plowes Close, the Slipe, Little Broom Fields, Great Broom Fields, Newland Close, Wheat Close, Lazor Close and Meadow Close together containing 78 acres; (f) spinney of wood of 28 poles; (g) 9a 1r 0p arable in common fields of Cardington and Wilshamstead; (e)-(g) in occupation of Billing Garrett; Habendum: - to (iii) to use of (iii) to make them perfect tenants of freehold in order for the suffering of a common recovery with double voucher in which (iv) as demandant was to prosecute a write of disseisin in le post followed by a writ of habere facias seisinam; - after the common recovery (iii) to hold to use of (ii) until the marriage; then, for (a)-(d) to use of Diana Taylor for life and for (e)-(g) for Diana Taylor to take rent of £30 per annum for life; after death of Diana Taylor to use of (v) for 500 years without impeachment of waste; to use of (i) and Catherine Williamson for their lives; after death of both to use of (iii) during the lives of (i) and Catherine Williamson upon trust to support contingent uses; then to use of heirs begotten by Edmund Williamson on the body of Catherine to uses appointed by (i) in his will; then to issue as appointed by Catherine Williamson in her will, if she survive (i); if in default of any will to use of any child or children of (i) and Catherine Williamson; then to use of surviving children; then to use of (i) and his heirs Provisos - sale of land by (i) or Catherine Williamson; - power for Diana Taylor to lease (a)-(d) and (i) or (v) to lease any of the land; - term of 500 years limited to (v) resulted from a mortgage of 15 Aug 1741 in which she lent £300 at 4.5% interest to Catherine Taylor Reciting Secondly: - during the life of Diana Taylor, Catherine Taylor, if she survived (i), would not have a competent provision for her maintenance; - Edmund Williamson of Husborne Crawley, deceased, father of (i) in his will of 5 Apr 1729 gave £1,500 to (i); - Edmund Williamson senior's executors renounced execution, his eldest son, Talbot Williamson, obtained letters of administration from PCC and paid (i) interest on the £1,500 at 4% per annum but not the principal sum Second Operative Part: - (i), with consent of Talbot Williamson, granted £1,500 to (iii) upon trust to use of (i) before marriage, then to use of (iii) to allow (i) to take interest for his life; after his death allowing Catherine Williamson to receive £30 per annum from £1,000 (part of the £1,500) so long as Diana Taylor lived and continue to do so after her death if no issue of (i) and Catherine Williamson lived until the death of Catherine Williamson; then to pay the £1,000 as directed in the will of (i); as to the £500, interest to be paid to (i) for his life, then to Catherine Williamson after his death if she survived him without issue and after her death to pay the £500 as directed in the will of (i) Witnesses: - W.Parris; - Mark Vinicombe; - Philip Parsell; - copy examined by John Rotherham, clerk to Ambrose Reddall and Thomas Furnivall
