Broome - Bwde. let for £217, ''to the intent that if there should happen to be any defect in the sd. conveyance (wh. I hope there is not) yet that the same may be made good''. To Eliz. also - all the money in her own hands ''wh. she & I have allways esteemed as her owne'', furn. of one chamber in house in Hatton Garden, plate, £200; to live 1 yr. in H.G. house wh. shall remain unchanged. to dau. Mary K. (only surv. ch. by 2nd. w. Mary dcd.) -- Manor of Gastlings lately purc. of Jn. Thurgood and £500 ''in full discharge of my own portion designed to her & also ... of what was given to her by her late grfather. Mr. Wm. Jeston by his will for the burnt ground of Lond. wh. K. is that she will be pleased to take the care of the pious and sober education of my sd. dau.
