Copy of will of Thomas Tompkins, 'mariner belonging to his Majesty's ship Fougueux being in bodily health and of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the perils and dangers of the seas and other uncertainies of this transitory life do for avoiding controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last will and testament' everything to 'my loving wife Mary Tompkins' and appoints her sole executrix. Signed Thomas Tompkins witnessed Richard Beechey and John Sharpe. Dated 12 October 1752 Proved in Doctor's Commons 21 December 1759.
