Two pages from a catalogue of Bailey Bros of 62 Newington Butts, London SE11, describing the two volumes above, inter alia, as "two ms volumes apparently being Minute Books of a Clerk to the Justices of the Peace of that County [i.e. Beds], recording briefly each case, appeal, order etc. Each vol. Has a name index. Bound in velvet calf. Inscribed in ink on bindings - "Justice Room"... price of 30/- for the two. Two other Beds volumes are featured: Rev.Thomas Cox "Bedfordshire", "with Morden's Map", c.1720 (price 3/-) and Rev.G.D.Parry "select Illustrations Historical and Topographical of Bedfordshire", 1827 (price 4/6).
