Correspondence re "The Welcome Stranger" Public House, 61 Duke Street, Luton including: question as to whether the licensee could allow customers to drink in the adjoining games room, which had hitherto been a neighbouring lodging house, and as to alterations which may be needed to the adjoining premises including sketch plan of the premises; also complaints from neighbouring landlords that the licensee supplied shellfish to customers, who then took them to other, neighbouring, pubs, where they consumed them, causing an offensive smell and also littered the floors with shells.
