Hobourn of Woburn, esquire… 'I have now looked into the matter of the tithe rent charge payable herein and on doing so find that tithe is only chargeable on the property at Eggington, the apportionment being 6/9 and the amount payable for this year is 6/3. No tithe is paid at Hockliffe or Chalgrave. The tenants names are as follows:- At Eggington: W. Osborne; At Tebworth: S. Mooring; At Hockliffe: Mrs. Lawson, empty, F. Tucker, A. Cook, S. Tucker, S. Osborne'.
