Duplicate notice from Frederic Tanqueray of Woburn to Mr. James McMurtrie… 'As solicitor for and on behalf of Mr. David Joshua Appleton I hereby give you notice to pay to him at the expiration of three calendar months from the service of this notice the principal sum of £650 and all interest then due thereon secured by an indenture of mortgage made between yourself of the one part and the said David Joshua Appleton of the other part and I hereby give you notice that if you make default in such payment he will proceed to enforce his powers conferred upon him as mortgagee'. - Note on reverse dated 29th Jan 1912 by David Janes, solicitor's clerk stating that a notice has been sent by registered post.
