    Copy will of John Jones of Luton, Beds, gentleman, extracted from the Principal Registry of the Probate Divorce and Admiralty Division of the High Court of Justice. Appointing: - Nephew Richard Lloyd Jones and wife Elizabeth Jones as executors and trustees. Giving and bequeathing: - £8000 to executors in trust to invest and apply the interest thereof unto my wife during her life while unmarried, then upon trust to pay or transfer the sum according to the last will of said wife, in default of such a will or bequest, upon trust for such persons as stated according to the statute of distribution. - Whole of my household furniture and effects and also my horses and carriages unto my wife. - The messuage with buildings, garden and appurtenances etc. belonging to where I now live unto my wife during her life. - Annuity of £20 to Francis Piggott the brother of my late wife Sarah Jones during his life and after to be deemed as part of my personal estate. - £200 each to Alfred Seymour and 'Carry' otherwise Caroline Seymour the children of Horatio Nelson Seymour of Limerick, Ireland, merchant. - £100 free from legacy duty to my manservant John Pedder…'on account of his long service with me'. - All my messuages, lands, hereditaments (except estates vested in me as trustee or mortgagee) unto my nephew Richard Lloyd Jones. - All my invested money and residue of my personal estate not already bequested to said Richard Lloyd Jones. - All real estates vested in me as trustee or mortgagee unto my said trustees upon trust that at any time they will call in and require payment of any security and re-invest the same. Witnessed by Charles A. Austin of Luton, solicitor and Thomas George Austin his clerk. 'Proved at London on the 29th Dec 1866 by the affirmation of Richard Lloyd Jones the nephew and the oath of Elizabeth Jones, widow'.
