Letter from Frederic Tanqueray of Woburn, Beds to Miss Sturges… 'Titmas called on me and produced his books. He contends that the item '1904 February 22nd exchange of horses, bunce for blossom' was to be paid to him by Mr. Sturges and his books show the following items:- 1904: - Jan 22nd Mr. B.C. Sturges - £42/-/-. - Jan 22nd Bay Mare Mr. B.C. Sturges - £30/-/-. The difference between the 2 being the 12/-/- which he says is owing to him. He also says that the items for the keep of the horse should be 5/- a week instead of 10/- a week and the price of the pigs should be £10/5/- instead of £10/10/-. I have also received an account of his counterclaim which I enclose for your perusal'.
