Letter from Jeanne E.Snow from Orleans, Cape Cod [Massachusetts] to Andrew Underwood: - saw his book reviewed in New York Times and noting that a copy had been sent to Governor Nelson Rockefeller; she subscribed to Bedfordshire Magazine and saw it advertised there; asks for a copy; - her mother's family had antecedents in Bedford and in 1911 her aunt Mrs.T.J.Ford lived at Red House, Church Street, Ampthill, the writer's mother had married an American and lived in New York but the family visited Ampthill in 1911; they sailed on the Lusitania, where they spent Coronation Day; she climbed the belfry at Ampthill church with her cousin, an architectural student in London; - on her last visit she also visited Houghton House
