Letter from Barbara Smith Buys in Fishkill [New York] to Andrew Underwood:
- she had seen an article in the local newspaper about the booklet on Richard Nicolls and wanted to order a copy;
- she claimed descent from Dutch, French Huguenots, William Brewster of the Mayflower, Governor Thomas Prence and other Cape Cod English and American Revolutionary War rebels; she was historian of Fishkill Episcopal Church [see AU10/67/4];
- asking help to determine the age of the lectern Bible in the church;
- the notepaper includes a drawing of the church
