Letter from Andrew Underwood to Audrey Murphy of Stevenage [Hertfordshire]: - includes a photocopy of the first page of a 1663 printed Bible on which is written "Parkinton Brazier his to Have this Book upon Mrs.Grimes Deth Jenuary 1111 1717"; - Millbrook parish registers reveal Parkinton Brazier as a thatcher, described as "poor" when buried on 17 Mar 1793; Mrs.Grimes may have been Margaret, wife of Thomas, locksmith, buried at Ampthill in 1721; - unknown if Parkinton Brazier received the Bible, the only name being written in it being James Pearson, 6 Oct 1786 (gamekeeper to Earl of Upper Ossory at Ampthill Park)
