    Letter from Terry Sear of Lowestoft [Suffolk] to Andrew Underwood, adding the following information to AU10/54/1: - his father was born in a workhouse; - Frederick James Sear born 1878 and Elizabeth Ann Sear born 1875; believed to have rented their home from [William Thomas] Sharp[e] the builder; they died as paupers in a home in Biggleswade; - they were friendly with Mr. and Mrs.Pinney [Louis Pinny, fishmonger kept the Old George at 23 Woburn Street according to Kelly's for 1931] who kept a public house almost opposite, now closed down; other friends were Mrs.Fisher of Maulden [several Fishers, all market gardeners appear in Kelly's for 1931 under Maulden] and Mrs.Farey/Fairey who lived behind their house; - his father had an aunt Emily Sear of Napier Street, Fenny Stratford [Buckinghamshire]
