Copy letter from Andrew Underwood to Joyce Newitt and stating:
- that he thought her the grand daughter of Jessie Harris, sister of Gregor and Joe, children of Joseph Harris who was aged 11 on the 1881 census;
- Gregor's widow Ruth was still alive but their daughter Janet Walker had died;
- Gregor's mother came from Alford [Aberdeen] as junior cook to Lord Ampthill at Ampthill Park;
- the photograph asked for [see AU10/49/14] of Westminster Cottage was taken by Gregor's brother Joseph and showed his fiancée Grace Manton;
- he had another picture of Tunnel Cottage painted in 1958 by an 11 year old pupil of his who lived there
