Correspondence concerning an easement for a pipeline the Great Ouse Water Authority propose to lay over c.5-8 acres of the charities land at Greenfield's (currently being used as allotments):
- Letter from Great Ouse Water Authority highlighting the authorities' compulsory powers to take possession of the land as they require it and outlining the procedures by which any compensation and claims will be assessed.
- Letter to Mr. A. Gotzheim of Messrs. Cumberland & Hopkins solicitors of High Street, Leighton Buzzard asking him to deal with the matter and obtain the most favourable terms while safeguarding the interests of the tenants.
- List of tenants with plot occupied as of Apr 1964: Plot 1: William Smart of 23 Mill Lane; Plot 2: Wilfred Millard of 11 School Lane; Plot 3: Bernard Fossey of 41 Mill Lane; Plot 9 & 10: George Millard of 9 School Lane; Plot 7: Mrs. Elizabeth Lane of 65 Flitton Road; Plot 8: Henry Cole of 17 Mill Lane; Plot 3: Alec. Wells of 15 Mill Lane; 'Alfred Dudley, formerly of Greenfield but now lives at Harlington'; Plot 6: Mark Taylor of 5 Mill Lane; Plot 18 & 22: William Carter of 19 Mill Lane; Plot 5: Mrs L.C. Arnold of 43 Mill lane. The following names are included but no plot number has been given by their name: Mrs. Millie Evans of 71 High Street, Mr. Albert Share of 57 Flitton Road, Mr. Sidney J. Everitt of 3 Mill Lane and Mr. Douglas Evans of 7 Mill Lane… 'All the plots are let at £1 per year except Douglas Evans £-/12/- and one other I understand was free of charge in that year'.
