    Minute Book. Including: - Extract from a report of the former Commissioners concerning charities, Vol: 8. pg 12 (dated 13 July 1822)… 'Two closes one of 5a and 3r the other of three roods were allotted on the Inclosure of Flitton in lieu of certain pieces of open field land held immemorially for the purpose of repairing the church'. 'Three cottages have been built in the smaller close at the expense of the Parishioners in the occupation of poor persons and are occupied by Parish paupers'. 'The closes exclusive of the site of the cottages are let by the minister and churchwardens to yearly tenants, viz: J. Kitchener at £14, and to J. Palmer at £2/2/- per annum being the full value. The rents are applied to the repairs of the church and are included in the churchwardens account.' - Extract from letter from the Charity Commissioners dated 17 May 1926… 'the administration of the charity still rest with the vicars and churchwardens (i.e. certain parochial acts do not apply). However the Parochial Church Council could apply to have additional trustees. Every three years these accounts are sent to Commissioners'. - Transcript of 'final' letter from the Charity Commission to Rev. A.E. Houfe, vicar (highlighted as being 'most important')… 'I am now to say that the rents received in respect of the property of the above mentioned charity, after providing for any necessary repairs and other incidental expenses in connection with the administration of the charity should be applied by the vicar and churchwardens for the purposes of repairing the church in accordance with what is understood to be the long standing custom. In the absence of expressed trusts such a custom may properly be regarded as binding upon the trustees'. - List of tenants with rents for the years: 1940, 1941, 1943, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, and 1956.
