    [f. 239] Jane Rotheram of Harlington, widow, made 31 Oct. 1546, pr. 22 Dec. 1546. "Furste I commend my soull unto Allmeghtie god my maker and Redemer" and burial in the church of Harlington.To the high altar of the said parish church 3s. 4d.. To the chancel of the parish church of Bechington [Beachampton?] in Bucks. for tithes forgotten 6s. 8d.. To the upkeep of the parish church of Tyngreiff "toward the Reparations" 3s. 4d.. "I will that there shalbe bestowed for my soull at my beryall A trentall, a Brotherhood masse at Luton and Amongst pore people 20 markes". To Mistress Elzabeth Cheyney a pair of fine sheets and 2 cushions. To testator's daughter Astrye one fine sheet and all testator's best apparel. To her daughter Wyngayt the cover of a mazer and a ring. To her daughter Payre 2 gowns, one gown "gardyt" with tawny velvet, and another, and 2 beasts. To testator's son Raffe Astrye a little coffer which stands at Hechein with all that is in the same "and that I will he shall send for it as sowne as he can", and to him also all the cattle which are at testator's brother Robert Pegattes, and all her plate at Georges. To her cousin Thomas Pegat £6 which "I shuld have hadd of hem, for mony I lente hem and that is more I will hem to pay when it shalbe dewe". To her son Astries servant Robert Norys a cow or else a bullock. To the youngest daughter of her brother Pegat £6 13s. 4d. to her marriage. To the wife of her cousin Thomas Pegatt one fine sheet. To Mistress Wyngat of Harlington 3s. 4d. and 2 "lettes capes" [?lace caps]. To her son Raffe Astrye 2 of her best featherbeds. To her son Wyngate one featherbed. To her daughter Payre a mattress. Residue of the household stuff at her house at Hechein to be divided among her children. To her daughter Wyngate's son George Wyngate 26s. 8d. or else 40s.. Son Raffe Astrie to be her sole executor, and Edmund Wyngate supervisor, he to have 4 or 5 marks. Residue of goods to son Raffe Astrye, and she charges him to good to his sister Margret Payre "and to hir Childern' and to geve her nowe sum and then sum" Witnesses Margreat Payre, Agnes Robynges, Elzabeth Guntroppe, Alys Astrye, Edmund Wyngate, Elzabeth Wyngat.
