    [f. 237d] John Wood of Studham, made 15 Nov. 1545 pr. 28 Mar. 1547. Burial in the churchyard of Studham. To the high altar there 2d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; 10s. to be given at his burial to poor people and another 10s. at his month's mind and at his year's mind. To son Thomas the best kettle, a chest, the best sheet. To son Roger a little chest, a brass pot and a kettle, a pair of sheets. Should one of his sons die, then the survivor to take his legacy. Testator's executors are to let his house for 7 years and the rent arising to be used to repair the house, and any money left over to be divided between his two sons at the end of the lease, then elder son Thomas to have the house paying to his brother Roger 40s.. Should his sons or his executors decide to sell the house, then Roger Clarke and Roger Bocher to be the preferred purchaser "paing therefore £6". Residue of goods to John Atkin and Richard Bemont (executors) who are to have 3s. 4d. each. Overseer sir Roger Clarke vicar of the parish. Witnesses John Atkinges, Richard Bemont, Henry Rowsye.
