    [f. 222] Thomas Streme , husbandman, of Dene, made 25 Nov. 1546, pr. 29 Mar. 1546 [sic]. Burial in the churchyard of Dene. To the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar for tithes forgot 6d.; to the bells 16d.; "to the Reparations of the hight autor in Deane" 12d.; to the church of Deane 2s.; to the church of Melcheburne 20d.; to the church of Swyneshed 20d.. To wife Jone 2 acres of land for her life-time and also a house "at the Gayte" as long as she remains a widow. To her also his best bay horse. The residue of his "teme" [presumably term] to his son John the younger. To son William Streme a cow and a bullock. His goods are to be divided into 3 parts, one part to be "done for my soull", the second part to wife Jone; the third part to son John the younger. To wife Jone 13s. 4d.. To aforesaid son John Streme 13s. 4d. "this to be taken owt of my parte". If his son John Streme the elder has testator's house at Nether Deane, then he is to pay 20 marks sterling for it. To son William Streme 40s. of the same money, and the remainder to be divided into three parts as above. To my curate sir William 3s. 4d.; to son John the elder 6s. 8d.; to William Pecke 6s. 8d.; to Master Richard Nele 6s. 8d.. Executors son John the elder and William Pecke "to bestowe my forsaid parte for my soull as they thingke beste". Master Richard Nele to be supervisor. Witnesses John Bull, John Negus, John Brand. He asks for 2 loads of stone to be laid in Kepers Layne.
