    Folio 178 - Katering Wylkenson of Mapersall, made 22 May pr. 39 Aug. 1546. Burial in parish churchyard of Mapersall. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the Cross Cloth of the aforesaid church 20d.. To John Wylkenson a milch cow. To Katering Peche testator's mother's christening sheet which is at Jeffray Fermaurs. Testator's master William Fray to have her tenement with a garden plot and 6 acres of arable with the appurtenances in Pyrton to him and his heirs for ever by copy of court roll, paying for it to testator's executor £3 13s. 4d., of which tenement she has made a surrender into the hands of Thomas Ansell of Pyrton, tenant to the same manor, to the use of William Fray and his heirs "knolegeing and confesseing my selfe before sir Roger the paryssh preste there to be of the age of xxj yeres and above". The money to be received from William Fray to be used for the health of her soul and the souls of all Christians, i.e. a yearly obit to be kept to the value of 5s. in the church of Mapersall and Pirton, that is to say one year at Mapersall and the other at Pyrton, and this to continue as long as the money lasts. There is in the hands of Geffray Fermer household stuff to the value of 20s. which is to be used in the same way. Executor the said sir Roger, with overseers Thomas Ansell of Pyrton yeoman and Thomas Stryngar of Mapersall, to whom 4s. 4d. between them. Witnesses John Hill, William Dylly, Richard Koumes.
