- TitleFolio 157d - Richard Lylly of Stondon in parish of Shitlington, husbandman, made 19 Dec. 1545, proved 13 May 1546. Burial in the churchyard of All Hallowes in Shitlington. To the high altar there 4d.; to the church of Lincoln 2d.. To his son William Lylly and his heirs male the house at Stotfold with all appurttenances, after the death of testator's wife Margery, who is to hold it during her lifetime. However, if Margery should remarry, then the house to go immediately to son William, he paying Margery 20s. a year for her lifetime. Should his son William die without heirs male, then the property is to pass to testator's son Richard and his heirs male, with the same provisions for his mother; and if he too die without heirs male, then property to go to testator's son Mathew and his heirs male, and should all three sons die without heirs male, then the house to descend to such of testator's daughters as are still alive, to be divided between them. Son Richard to have half the crop and wife to have the other half, and similarly with the cattle such as beef and horses and the cart and cart gear and plough and plough gear, paying half testator's debts, with wife paying the other half. Wife and son Richard to pay to son Mathew 5 quarters of barley; to daughter Elzabeth 3 quarters of barley; to daughter Jone 2 quarters of barley, to be given them as soon as it can be spared "not hurteing the plowght for them". Residue to wife Margery and son Richard, who are executors. Witnesses sir Frances Milner curate, Mathew Lawrens and William Stryngar with others.
