  • Title
    Folio 84 - Thomas Threder of Shitlyngton, shoemaker, made 7 June pr. 2 July 1545. Burial in church yard of All Saints in Shitlington. To the high altar 4d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To son Valentyne and daughter Alys a featherbed and a bolster each at the day of their marriage, if they live so long. Reciting that testator has mortgaged the house where he dwells for £12 to be paid at Michaelmas next to Thomas Smyth otherwise called Howson, and has surrendered the property to the use of the said Thomas if the £12 is not repaid, testator's wife Margret is to have the house for her lifeftime (according to the custom of the manor) if she can pay to Thomas the £12, and on her death the property will revert to his son Valentyne, and if Valentyne should die before his wife, then she is to sell the property, of which the surrender remains in the hands of Mathew Dryve and Robert Glover. All remaining property to wife Margret, who is sole executrix, "she to dysspose for my Soull as she wold I shuld do for hers". Witnesses sir Frances Mylner curate, Richard Assheton, Thomas Smyth otherwise called Howson.
