    Folio 75d - Walter Ryse of Wrastelingworth, yeoman, made 9 Oct 1544, pr. 23 July 1545. Burial in church yard of Wrastelingworth; to the high altar there for tithes forgotten, 3s. 4d.; to the upkeep of the church there 3s. 4d.. To wife Sebell all his houshold stuff being at that time in the hall, parlour, chambers, kitchin, brewhouse and malt house. The sum of £80 is to be paid to John Bolnest of Potton, yeoman, his heirs and assigns, [?] for testators's messuages, lands, tenements, meadows, pasture, leases, feedings, woods, rents, reversions and services in the town and fields of Potton, as well freehold as copyhold, according to a surrender made by the testator into the hands of Walter Worleche gentleman, and Thomas Carter the bailiff there, Richard Manley and Walter Horley, yeomen, Thomas Langhorne, Richard Maye, John Colye and John Mody, customary tenants, property iin the manors of the King's Majesty and of Master Thomas Burgan esquire, Sir Laurens Taler knight, and Master William Tanfild gentleman, the surrender having been made on condition that John Bolneste and his heirs pay £40 to testator's wife Sebell Ryse at certain times, that is to say £20 within one half year after death of Walter Ruyse the testator, and the other £20 to be paid to wife Sebell within one year after the first payment. All this on condition that Sebell surrenders and delivers to John Bolnest all title and interest as she has by vertue of a copy granted from William Tennefild gentleman to testator Walter Ryse and wife Sebell and the heirs of Walter as appears in the court roll of William Tannfild gentleman, and if the conditions are not kept, then the legacy of £40 to wife Sebell is void. To testator's daughter Emme the other £40 sterling to be given her at the age of 18 years, but if Emme should die before that time, then the £40 is to be divided equally between testator's brothers Robert Ryse and William Ryse, and should one brother die, then the survivor to have the whole £40. John Bolneste and his executors are charged with the custody of testator's daughter Emme, with meat, drink and cloth and all other necessaries until the age of 18. Should money be unpaid, testator's executors can re-enter property. And this clause to be added in the court rolls and copies of court roll. Executors George Acworth esq., and John Bolneste yeoman, to each of whom 20s., supervisor Walter Worleche gentleman, to whom 5s. 8d..
