  • Title
    Folio 70d - Thomas Bonyon of Wynfild in parish of Chalgrave made 17 May 1545 pr. 5 June 1545. Burial in churchyard of All Hallowes of Chalgrave. To high altar of parish church of Chalgrave for tithes forgotten 12d.; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to bells of Chalgrave 2 bushel of barley; to Rood light 4d.; to the torches 12d.. To son Richard Bonyon his team of horses, cart and cart gear, plough and plough gear, a kiln "hayre" and a steeping vat and the crop growing in the field or fields of Chalgrave, except for testator's bequests and legacies, and on the condition that Richard is to pay to Agnes testator's daughter 26s. 8d. which is to be paid by two payments, the first of 13s. 4d. at the feast of the Purifiction next, and the other 13s. 4d. at the next Whitsuntide. To dau. Agnes also a milch cow, 2 pewter platters, a pair of sheets, a mattrass, a coverlet and a pillow, half of the "geyes Duckes and hennys", a little coffer, all in addition to what is her own. To her also one acre of barley. To William Hurlam of Tebworth an acre of barley. To Thomas Jurdan testator's son in law an acre of barley. To John Morrys of Badlysden an acre of barley. To Thomas Boneyan the son of William Honeyon half an acre of barley and one weaning calf. To godson Edmund Boneyon half an acre of barley. To Agnes Hebbes Agnes Skawne Thomas Stace Agnes Stevens, testator's godchildren, 4d. each. To godchild Agnes Jurdan a bushel of barley. Wishes for a trental of masses to be said in Chalgrave church for souls of self, his wife and all Christians, besides cost of his burial and 30th day. Residue to sons Richard Bonyan and William Bonyan of the parish of Chalgrave, his executors, and son William to have for his labour and pains testator's house with the appurts. in Stanbrege and 3s. 4d. and so to be content, and son Richard to have all the rest of the goods. Witnesses John Osburbe vicar, Richard Stoke, Robert Rowell. Son Robert Bonyon to be supervisor and he to have 3s.4d.
