Folio 38d - Nicholas Lylle of Stotfold made 20 Mar. 1543/4, pr. 27 Sep. 1544. "I commend my soull unto god Almeghtie And my body to be bured in the churche yerde of Stotfolde". To the high altar for tithes forgotten 4d.. To wife Jone for her life his house with the appurtenances so that she may bring up his children, and on her death the property to be divided between his children and their heirs. Residue to wife Jone, executrix. Witnesses John Riple vicar, John Phillippe the younger, and others.
