Folio 21d - William Townesend of Wodhill made 13 Mar. 1543/4, pr. 16 June 1544. Burial in the churchyard of All Hallowes of Wodill. His wife Mary to be his executrix, and she and his children are to have all goods jointly between them. To wife Mare his house and his land during her lifetime as it lies in the town and fields of Wodhull with a lease that testator has of Master Spenser. After wife's death property to go to eldest surviving son. Witnesses sir John Blande parson of Wodhill, sir Richard Clydderho testator's ghostly father, John Berneger the elder and John Elyot.
