    Folio 2 - William Harper of Malden, smith, made 30 Apr. pr. 17 July 1543. Burial in the churchyard by his first wife. To mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To wife Margret his best cow, the pot with the narrow neck, 4 platters, an honest bedstead with 2 pair of sheets.. Residue of moveables to be divided between his two sons-in-law who have married his two daughters. To the making of the great bell of the church of Malden 16d.. To wife the house that the glover dwells in for life, and if by any chance she cannot enjoy this, then she is to have out of the tenement that testator has always dwelt in 6s. 8d. yearly for life. On her death that said house and also the house that Tracy dwells in are to remain to son-in-law Richard Davy of Everseall and to his heirs. Also to the same Richard Davy the copyholding lying in the town of Flytton. To Richard Davy testator's other son-in-law dwelling in Flytwike the house that testator has always dwelt in with the appurtenances next to the Church House, until the time that William his son be married, and then the house to go to William the grandson and his heirs. Should William die without issue, then the house descend to his next brother, and so from brother to brother. Should the line die out, then the house to revert to Richard Davy of Flitwike and his wife or to the next of blood. To Richard Davy of Flytwike a half acre lying in Este Mede and 2 acres lying in Shootes with the hemp land that testator bought of John Kyddeley. Executors Richard Angulsay of Hawnes and Roger Wyllyslay of Maldon, each to have 3s. 4d.. Witnesses Edward Phillippe clerk and parson of Malden, Richard Coyte, Thomas Wylsley.
