Letter from Joseph Ady. accountant of 5 York Street, Charlotte Street, Whitechapel [Middlesex] to John Eagles at Ampthill:
"The undersigned is able to inform you of something to your advantage value £1000.0.0 and upwards long overlooked on receipt of 20/- by Post Office order on Whitechapel as an Equivalent for his trouble & costs generally. Personally known to each of the Aldermen of London having been a Freeman & Housekeeper 50 years. As I am at great Expense to procure Information all postages must be paid by you"
