Todington. Court held 22 March 1539/40. Eton [Bray] John Dyxe was charged with committing adultery with a certain Joan his servant, and he appeared and denied the charge, and was ordered to purge himself by the testimony of neighbours, and on the same day he produced in witness Nicholas Wildson, Thomas Rebynges and William Saunders, and was dismissed. The woman took flight.
