Court held at Sowthill church 5 Feb. 1539/40. Sandey. Richard Hancocke was accused of living suspiciously with Joanna Blyth. Richard denied that he had known the woman carnally, and the lord ordered that he should not in future meet the woman except in the presence of three other people, under the penalty of excommunication, and the woman received a similar order.
