- Title[f. 18d] (see also ABP/R 6 f. 24d) Nicholas Nicolles of Willyshamsted, made 20 May 1539, proved 13 Apr. 1540. Burial in the church yard of All Hallowes in Wyllyshamsted; to the high altar there for tithes forgotten 3s. 4d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the Sepulchre light 3s.4d.; to the torch in the same church 3s. 4d.; to the upkeep of the bells 20d.. To every godchild 4d.; to a good secular priest "that is of onest Dissposition for to celebrat masses and other suffrages in the churche of Willyshamsted" for one half year [blank] to pray for souls of himself, his wife, his friends and all Christians. To the making of the high way called North End Layne in Wyllyshamsted 10s. sterling. Residue to wife Margret Nicoll, to be an executrix with John Chalnell senior and John Astelyn' senior of Willyshamsted executors, each of the two latter to have 6s. 8d.. Witnesses Thomas Harwar clerk and vicar, John Paymer and John Smyth.
