- TitleLetter from Edward Bygott of Wem [Shropshire] to John Thomas Green: "Referring to your letter of the 13th Decr last I have been in communication with Messrs Reade of Congleton the present Solicitors of Mr.Cobb with a view to ascertaining whether their Client would join in a Conveyance to Hopkins and I have been informed by them that they cannot advise him to do so. Under the circumstances I cannot see what my Client can do more, and unless your Client will accept a conveyance from him as mortgagee, there the matter of the purchase must rest so far as he is concerned. Mr.Percival, the mortgagee, will sell & execute a conveyance to Mr.Hopkins of the property on payment of the price offered for it and I cannot see what valid objection can be raised to this. Please let me know definitively whether your client will agree to this".
