    Copy Power of Attorney by Montague William Cobb of Congleton [Cheshire], gentleman: Reciting: - will of Elizabeth Cobb, late of Congleton, spinster of 3 Nov 1876 and, following a specific bequest to MWC devised and bequeathed all her real and leasehold estates in Woburn, Congleton and London and personal estate to MWC and Henry Latham of Congleton, gentleman as trustees to receive profits etc. and pay interest on mortgages with entitlement to spend up to £100 each year for five years after which time two thirds of her lease and copyhold estates were bequeathed to MWC and one third to Emily Ann Maria Wavel; the will included power for trustees to sell property and stand possessed of the revenue to pay off monies owing on it and one third of the residue to Emily Ann Maria Wavel and two thirds to MWC; residue of real and personal estate divided equally between MWC and EAMW; MWC and Henry Latham appointed executors; - death of Elizabeth Cobb on 5 Dec 1877 and proof of her will in Chester DPR on 9 Jan 1878; - the trustees had sold portions and entered into contracts to sell other portions of the property; - it might be necessary to sell or mortgage the remaining portion of the property; - MWC was about to leave UK Operative Part: - Montague William Cobb appointed Henry Latham as his attorney Witness: - Thomas Latham, clerk to Henry Latham of Congleton, solicitor
