Copy letter from Frederic Thomas Tanqueray at Bloomsbury Distillery to "Charlie" [Charles Dymoke Green]: "I have just had a talk with Henry & CWT. They are still both of them very anxious to have power to dispose of their shares by Will and they agree to the provisos you proposed rather than give up the idea. The provisos I have put to them are: That on your death at what ever time it may happen the shares in the business shall be divided that the surviving partners shall hold equally i.e. 4 each. That the power of disposal by Will shall be restricted to blood relations and shall not be made to a person who on reasonable grounds is not acceptable to the other partners. But Henry & Charles want to have power to dispose by Will of their present 2 1/2 shares in the event of their death before you. They think they may fairly ask this as you have disposed of 2 1/2 shares by George. The result of course would be that on your death their nominees would stand in their shoes & take four shares. It does not seem to me altogether so unreasonable a request & I take it the probability of the power being exercised is remote as things are. As to CWT it is only carrying out what I understood you was [sic] the understanding namely enabling him to bring in his Son though no doubt it should put the son in a better position than he could have obtained otherwise. Let me know what you think of this. I am sorry to hear from George of the additional troubles you are having at Oaklands but I hope this matter at any rate is drawing to a [unreadable] conclusion"
