Letter of John Charles Fowler at Tilton [Leicestershire] to John Thomas Green "or any one else whom it may concern": "Will you kindly inform me in what Year of Grace you think it likely that the Toddington Property business will be in a fit state for winding up. I fear it will soon become necessary to subject all the deeds in connection therewith to a strong brine to prevent decay. When the last sad scene takes place I hope it will be some time before "the crack of doom" - will you kindly hand my share - two fifths - over to Coleman after all fees have been paid"
