    Will of Maria Thorp of Aspley Guise, spinster [annotated on her will of 27 Apr 1894]: - Frederic Thomas Tanqueray of Woburn, gentleman and Frederick Bassett of Leighton Buzzard, banker to be executors and trustees; - £50 to British & Foreign Bible Society; - £50 to Caroline Sophia Slee; - £100 to Martha Keens; - £100 to Harriet Keens; - £50 to each executor; - £500 and £200 to each trustee upon trust, the £500 to purchase annuity for Martha and Harriet Keens in the shares 2/3 to Martha and 1/3 to Harriet; and the £200 a similar annuity for Elizabeth Corder; - furniture etc. in her bedroom to Martha Keens along with labelled or listed kitchen furniture and utensils; - four china mugs on the whatnot in the drawing room to her cousin Henry Shewell Corder which "belonged to our grandparents when resident in London"; - plate, drawings, photographs, pictures, jewellery and ornaments of person to children of her cousin late Thomas Corder; - residue to her trustees upon trust for sale/conversion and division into eighths, one eighth to children of her late cousin Elizabeth Spence, and remaining seven eighths equally to children of Thomas Corder living at her death or, if living now but dead at her death then to their children; - "I desire my Said Executors in the Division of my Residuary personal estate to avoid as far as possible any sales by Auctions of my personal effects but if one is found to be unavoidable to remove such effects for the purpose to some convenient spot at a distance from Aspley Guise"; - witnesses: Charles Herbert and Francis Smith, clerks to Frederic Thomas Tanqueray
