Letter from Maria Thorp at Mount Pleasant, Aspley Guise to Frederic Thomas Tanqueray: "Though my cousin F.Corder is quite willing to come if I especially desire it, it would be inconvenient to him to leave home just now, therefore I wish to carry out the alteration in Mrs.T.Corder's annuity as named to you that it should be £25 per am. I also fully coincide with your suggestion that Martha Keens should have £20 and her sister Harriet £10 pr Ann, the survivor to have the whole. When you are ready for me I hope to call at your Office as I did last time, now that I am able to get into a carriage I prefer to do so. I hope Mrs.Tanqueray is better ere this".
