Letter from David Thomas Willis at Leighton Buzzard to John Shewell Corder at Wimbourne House, Ipswich [Suffolk]: "I regret that there should have been a delay in reply to your letters of enquiry as to the position of this business, and I have had no earlier opportunity to reply to your letter of the 30th ultimo, having been engaged daily at the Revising Barrister's Court for this County. There is no hitch whatever in the business, and we have received from Miss Thorp's Solicitor (Mr.Tanqueray) the engrossment of the deed of Conveyance of the property for execution by our Client and we have written to him to call upon us and execute the deed at his earliest opportunity. Your advice to Miss Thorp to state her case to the "Law Association" must have been given under an entire misconception. Her Solicitor will satisfy her if she writes to him"
