    Copy of Absolute surrender reciting conditional surrender of 18 January 1850 At a Court held for the Manor of Bigleswade on 30 April 1858 Ebenezer and Cornelius Barber were admitted tenants to undermentioned property on surrender of James Barber dated 16 April 1868 (subject to rentcharge) as joint tenants in trust for themselves as tenants in common. James Barber died in April 1858 intestate leaving said Ebenezer and Cornelius Barber his only children Anne Barber died in March 1860 £200 is now due to John Nathaniel Foster but all interest has been paid to date Cornelius Barber has agreed to sell his share for £100 Now on 6 July 1870, Cornelius Barber, in consideration of £100 paid by Ebenezer Barber, surrendered into hand of Lord of the Manor - one moiety of: --- messuage in Langford Lane in Biggleswade in occupation of Ebenezer Barber --- 2 cottages adjoining on N and S sides in occupation of Elizabeth Bygraves and William Patrick N formerly James Barber, deceased, but now of John Robarts E & S Old Baptist Meeting W Langford Lane to use of Ebenezer Barber according to the custom of the Manor, but subject to principal and interest monies now due signature of Cornelius Barber receipt Witnesses Walter Robarts Thos J Hooper, sol, Biggleswade (2 customary tenants)
