    Affidavit given by Thomas Ricketts of Workhouse Lane, Leighton Buzzard, carter in Chancery Case 1886.P.1068 Mary Ann Ricketts Plaintiff and Thomas Lingard Green, John Thomas Green and Charles Dymoke Green, Defendants, stating: - he was the son of Mary Ann Ricketts; - he called on John Thomas Green on behalf of his mother at the beginning of April when he said there were not many papers connected with the estate of Thomas Paxton but that, so far as he could see, the estate consisted of about £350 - £139 being the amount of debt from Sir G.C.P.Turner and £100 from a man of the name of Philpotts [sic?] the balance being made up of small sums of about £10; - he had asked John Thomas Green what the household effects had sold for but he was unable to say; - sworn at Leighton Buzzard before David Thomas Willis
