    Two copy letters on a single sheet 26 Aug 1852 from Thomas Paxton to John Green: "Two of the late Thos Paxton's Daughters of Milton have called on me stating to you wished to see me about there [sic] late Father's afaires [sic]. I told them I thought they had made a great mistake as I had nothing to do with there [sic] Father's affairs [sic] whatever, this was one day last week as they called & yesterday they called again stating they hoped I would come & see you on the Business, as there [sic] mother was very ill & they had no rest from her about the settling of her Husband's faires [sic]. I hope you will excuse my troubling you with this but to get Reide [sic of them I promised to see you or write" 26 Aug 1852 from John Green to Thomas Paxton: "I think I understand the object the late T.Paxton's Daughters had in calling on you. You will recollect that some time since you pressed on me that the "Legcy" from Sir G.Turner ought to be paid to them & not to the Creditors. I did not entirely agree with this & promised to consider it. I told the young women when they came here that if you wd take part in the responsibility of giving them the money I wd take part also & let them have it. If you shd be here tomorw you will perhaps call"
