    Two copy letters on one piece of paper: 10 Mar 1824 from H.North, Pro-Comptroller of Legacy Duties at Stamp Office Legacy Duty Department to John Green: "In reply to your letter of the 9th Instant I beg to inform you that the matter in question had better stand over till the end of the year and if at that time you are not in a situation to render your Executory Account it will be necessary by letter to inform the Office and to state what further time will be required for that purpose, which should it appear reasonable the Commissioners will grant you" 28 Sep 1838 from John Green to Comptroller in reply to letter of 26th: "In reply to your letter of the 26th Inst in the Executorship of Thomas Paxton I beg to inform you that the Widow is still living. The Estate however is insolvent but the accounts cannot be made up in consequence of claims remaining unpaid & it is still uncertain if they ever will be paid"
