Operative: - Mortgage from (i) to (ii) for £400 with interest at £5 per centum per annum. (i) conveys (a) to (ii) as security for repayment. Property: (a) The same property as at Z1121/3/1 now described as all that messuage and public house with outbuildings and yards known by the name of The 'Cardinal' situate at the corner of Chapel Street & Wood Street, Park Town (formerly known as Brown Brick) in the Borough of Luton, Beds now in the occupation of William Medhurst. And 2 cottages or dwelling houses adjoining the public house numbered 20 & 22 Wood Street and now in the occupations of John Andrews & Frances Bavister. All which said premises are bounded on NW by Wood House cottages. Habendum: - Unto and to the use of (ii) subject to a lease for 9 years at the yearly rent of £37 and the usual mortgage provisos for redemption including a power of sale. Covenants: - If any default in payment then (ii) has a power of sale upon trust that monies arising should go towards any professional charges arising form the sale, then towards the satisfaction of money owing on the security of these present and any surplus should be paid to (i).
