Assignment of Mortgage Parties: (i) Elizabeth Grevill of Frittenden, Kent, spinster, executor of the will of Benjamin Grevill, late of London, cheesemonger, deceased. (ii) John Forster of Snowhill, London, Gentleman. (iii) Samuel Bury of London, merchant; Timothy Chebsey of London, ironmonger and Martha his wife (one of the daughters of Francis Grevill late of London, goldsmith, deceased). (iv) Amy Haslewood of Eltham, Surrey, widow. (v) John Stillingfleet of Snow Hill, London, Gentleman. Reciting: - All recitals at Z1121/1/6. - Z1121/1/6. - Benjamin Grevill died having left a will to which his wife Elizabeth became executor and thereupon initiated to the mortgaged property at (a) and the money due thereon. - Assignment of Mortgage dated 29th Jun 1709 between (1) Hester Grevill (2) Elizabeth Grevill (3) Walter Grevill, Francis Grevill, Hester Grevill & Martha Chebsey (nee Grevill) the sons and daughters of the said Francis Grevill and (4) Samuel Bury & John Forster whereby (3) assigned the recited mortgage to (4) in trust for (2) and (3). - Interest (principal & arrears) is still due on the said mortgage but all interest to this day has been paid off by (ii) for the benefit of (i) and the children of Francis Grevill but John Warner has failed to repay him. Operative: - In consideration of £150 paid by (iv) to Timothy Chebsey (portion of his said wife) by consent of (i), (ii) & (iii); (ii) and (iii) transfer the mortgage secured on (a) to (iv). (i) conveys (a) to (v) (as nominated by (iv)) as security for repayment. Property: (a) The Swan Inn, Ampthill as at Z1121/1/5. Habendum: - Mortgage transferred to (iv) for residue of the term of 1000 years subject to usual mortgage provisos for redemption. - (a) conveyed to (v) (as nominated by iv) in trust for (iv). Covenants: - (iv) holds the mortgage but all arrears of interest due and owing from John Warner are held in trust for (ii). Signed by (i), (ii) & (iii) (not Martha) and witnessed and signed by Thomas Orbell & Richard Pell.
